Cairns City to Port Douglas is about 70 km and takes 70–80 minutes by road. We pick up from the lobby of any Cairns CBD hotel or apartment, along the Esplanade, at the Reef Fleet Terminal after a reef trip, and at the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal on ship days.
From the city we head north through the Northern Beaches and join the coast road at Palm Cove. If you would like a quick photo stop at Rex Lookout on the way, just ask your driver; there is no charge for a short stop.
This is the transfer to book if you are breaking the journey in Cairns, finishing a cruise, or arriving by train or coach at Cairns Central. You choose the pickup time, so you can have breakfast and check out without watching a shuttle timetable.
